Let's talk about what a "lifestyle" Newborn shoot looks like! This sort of shoot to me is relaxed, candid and a bit more of a documentary style shoot of your baby and the family in your home. Scroll down to see some examples of an in home Lifestyle Newborn Shoot.

I love doing these because it takes any pressure off the parents - we don't have to stress about getting the traditional sleeping baby poses, but I do make sure we have a range of beautiful, natural shots of your little one - in places like on your bed, close ups in your arms, and in blankets or furs. Your Lifestyle shoot includes all of the following that are applicable to your family - sibling shots, just Mum and baby, just Dad and baby, the whole family, baby only and even if the fur babies can get in on the act if they are bribable or happy to sit still for a second!

For Lifestyle shoots I bring a small selection of things to work with (as opposed to the full set with a complete Newborn) including blankets, newborn hats and headbands, which all work perfectly with a neutral coloured onesie, bloomers, singlet etc - I'm happy to discuss outfits and have a handout with tips on request as well! We usually will shoot in the following rooms: the living room, baby's room and your own bedroom.

So if you're a bit boho, you love laughing, relaxed candid shots, as opposed to everyone looking at the camera and smiling, and you want some lovely, natural shots of your new baby, this is the perfect option for you. My Lifestyle Newborn sessions are available in the Auckland region, are 1-1.5 hours long, and include 25 digital images that are provided in both colour and B&W.
